B1 telc Preparation Course
Goal: Master the specific formats, timing, and strategies required to successfully pass the official telc B1 examination, fulfilling necessary language requirements for German citizenship or employment.
The course covers:
- Speaking: Structured presentation and defence of a topic; effective participation in a short, problem-solving discussion (Aushandlung).
- Writing: Production of formal and semi-formal letters (e.g., Beschwerde, Entschuldigung, Bitte um Information) precisely following telc scoring criteria.
- Exam Strategies: Time management for Reading (Lesen) and Listening (Hören) modules; targeted vocabulary activation for B1 topics.
- Grammar: self-correction (identifying and correcting one's own errors), perfect application of Konjunktiv II for formal requests, and accurate sub sentences (dass, weil, ob).
- Real-World Application: Using the B1 certificate for formal integration steps (e.g., naturalization, starting vocational training or Ausbildung). This course turns language competence into official certification.
